Duvon Guest Farm - Robertson
Situated in the shadow of the majestic Langeberg mountains with the Breede River as it's life blood, Robertson is the western gateway to The Heart of Route 62.
The past weekend i celebrated my 30th birthday with my family at my favorite spot in Robertson, Duvon Guest Farm.
This was the 3rd time this year that we returned to this quaint little spot and i will definitely return every chance that i get.
Duvon is about 6km from Robertson, nestled between vineyards and endless stretches of mountain. The house is literally amazing, big old farm house with wooden floors, antique furniture, huge windows that allows a view that i cannot begin to describe and the Stoep, oh the Stoep, i could sit there all day. One of the many things that i love about this guest farm is the personal touch from the owner, Armand.
You are welcomed with freshly baked Plaas Brood and a complimentary bottle of Duvon Wine.
I would suggest that you visit Duvon during summer time in order to make use of their amazing swimming pool overlooking the vineyard. Great spot to have a few sundowners and just relax whilst taking in the view.
Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a weekend at Duvon.
It is about 1 hour and 20 minutes drive from Cape Town. Bookings can be done through lekkeslaap.co.za
When visiting, i would recommend a lunch at Four Cousins, great setting and vibe and not too pricey either! Bourbon Street is a great spot for a few drinks and some Nachos and Graham Beck is situated right next to Duvon should you fancy a wine tasting.
A weekend is honestly way too short, i am always so sad to leave. Duvon, you have my heart.
